the program
12 weeks. Three phases. Real change.
phase 1 - know yourself - weeks 1 - 4
week 01
who are you?
Your first weeks set the tone for everything that follows. This week you craft your leadership story, an authentic, personal message about how you think, how you run your show, and what your team can expect from you. People don't just want to know the professional version of you. They want to know the real one. Your story is how you build connection and trust from day one.
week 02
the good, the bad & the ugly
When you walk into a leadership role you inherit everything — the good, the bad, and the ugly. This week is about using active listening to genuinely understand what's actually happening across your team. Take your people for coffee. Sit with them. Ask open questions. Listen to understand, not to respond. You can't fix what you don't know about.
week 03
building relationships
Workplace relationships are the invisible threads that make an organisation function. Without trust, openness and transparency with your stakeholders, direct reports, peers and manager, you'll struggle to implement or change anything. This week you identify who matters most, how to build those relationships deliberately, and what it takes to be seen as someone worth working with.
week 04
connect with your team
Connection is the operational foundation of a positive, productive team. This week is about the real stuff, saying hello and meaning it, knowing something personal about each person, scheduling fireside chats, showing appreciation, and being genuinely accessible. Some of it seems simple. Most leaders get it wrong. Your people notice every single time.
phase 2 - build trust & credibility - weeks 5 - 8

Some of it seems simple. Most leaders get it wrong. Your people notice every single time.
week 05
play back what you heard
After four weeks of listening, it's time to show your team you were paying attention. This week you compile and present your playback, the good, the bad, and the ugly, in a clear, constructive format for your team, peers and stakeholders. Playing back what you heard builds confidence that you get it & creates shared ownership for what changes next.
week 06
earn your street cred
It's one thing to say you're going to improve things. It's another to actually do it. This week you identify an initiative that is easy to implement, within your control, and has a direct positive impact on your team and you make it happen. Delivering on your word early is how you become a leader people trust. Don't be a "gonna manager."
week 07
what gets measured?
If your team doesn't have clear KPIs aligned to organisational goals, you're hoping for results rather than managing for them. This week you assess whether the right measures are in place, learn how to build a Balanced Scorecard across quantitative and qualitative dimensions, and ensure your people understand how their daily work connects to the bigger picture.
week 08
performance management
Failing to manage performance isn't kind, it's a disservice to your whole team. This week you learn how to set clear expectations, have constructive performance conversations, implement a Performance Improvement Plan with empathy and respect, and document everything correctly. Managing performance well is one of the most powerful things you can do for team culture.
phase 3 - lead with intention - weeks 9 - 12
week 09
create your playbook
Building a successful team won't happen by chance, it requires a deliberate strategy. This week you create your Plan on a Page (POAP): a concise, visual summary of the initiatives your team will focus on over the next 6–12 months. Your POAP is how you demonstrate you've listened, show the business your priorities, and create shared ownership and accountability across your team.
week 10
setting direction & expectations
Now your POAP is in place, it's time to set the direction and expectations for implementing it. This week you work through 15 steps to align your team around clear objectives, SMART goals, defined roles, a communication plan, and the behaviours and standards expected from everyone. Ambiguity is a trust killer. Clarity is how great leaders lead.
week 11
assess your teams capabilities
Does your team have the skills to deliver your POAP? This week you conduct a structured capability assessment, a skills audit, feedback from stakeholders, a review of team dynamics, problem-solving ability, adaptability, and development gaps. You'll build individual development plans and identify opportunities for cross-training, growth, and building a genuinely high-performing team.
week 12
team culture
Culture is what happens when you're not in the room, and it starts with you. In the final week you bring everything together: establishing and sharing your values, leading by example, building psychological safety, celebrating diversity, encouraging open communication, and creating an environment where people genuinely bring their whole selves to work every single day.
Built around your actual behaviour
Not generic content.
The program adapts to the specific habits and patterns you're working to change, because no two leaders have the same blind spots.
Accountability that's real
Weekly check-ins and live group coaching calls mean you can't just watch videos and feel good about yourself. You have to do the work, and you're not doing it alone.
Behaviour over mindset
We focus on what you do, not just how you think. Because your team experiences your behaviour, not your intentions. Mindset follows action, not the other way around.
why this works
what makes the 12-week shift different
Led personally by Melissa
Fortnightly live calls with Melissa. Real feedback. Honest coaching. Not a pre-recorded course you sit through alone & forget by the following week.
what leaders are saying
results from the 12-week shift
"The real measure of any leadership program is whether your team notices. Mine did. Unprompted. That told me everything I needed to know."
David, Fulfilment Manager
"The live calls with Melissa are worth the investment alone. Direct, honest, and completely different to the coaching I'd had before. She doesn't let you off the hook, in the best way."
Amanda
P&C Business Partner
I'll be honest, I didn't think a 12-week program was going to change habits I'd had for a decade. I was wrong. My team and I are in a completely different place as a direct result of me completing this. Its been a game changer.

is this program for you?
this program is right for you if
The 12-Week Shift is designed for leaders who are past the basics and ready for the deeper, harder work of permanent behaviour change.
✓ You've been leading for at least a year and know some habits need to change
✓ You've read the book or done the 7-Day Reset and want to go deeper
✓ You're ready to be genuinely challenged
✓ You want real accountability, not just content to consume at your own pace
✓ You care about the impact your leadership has on your team's wellbeing
✓ You're prepared to do uncomfortable self-reflection and act on it
This might not be for you if
X You're looking for quick fixes without doing the deeper work
X You want to be told you're already doing great
X You're not ready to be honest about where you're falling short
X You want a self-paced course you can dip in and out of casually
Not sure if this is the right step?
Start with the 7-Day Reset or the book first.
If you've already done those and you're ready for more, this is your next step.
